Each year, beginning with our first year in 1994, the PNWFA holds a Convention, where members display glass from their collections, one or more special speakers come to present topics of interest to Fenton collectors specifically and glass collectors in general. Quite often, a member of the Fenton family will attend our Convention, a tradition begun by Frank M. Fenton, who attended the first few Conventions in the 1990s.
A favorite feature of Convention is the all-Fenton auction, a fund-raiser for the PNWFA and a great way to add to one's collection of Fenton glass. The PNWFA travels to Williamstown each year to select items for the auction. There is always at least one spectacular "one-of-a-kind" item to bid on.
Each attendee at a PNWFA Convention receives a souvenir item especially designed and produced by Fenton for the PNWFA. These glass items are always limited in quantity, and have become something of a collector's item over the years. Check out the favors from past Conventions.
During the Convention, conventioneers often provide glass for sale in their rooms in the Convention hotel. This is a great way for collectors to dispose of duplicates or pieces they no longer want to keep, and other collectors to find great pieces that are seldom seen. It's also a way to visit and catch up with happenings with old friends you don't see often.
You do not have to be a member of PNWFA to attend the Convention. It is open to the general public, and we cordially invite YOU to attend this year's Convention. As we have more details on guests, seminars, etc., we will update this site, so stay tuned...
